Cultureel programmamaker/De Artiesteningang
Tante Nino heeft de achterruimte van de huizen van de vd Takstraat getransformeerd naar een GEWELDIGE binnentuin/buitenruimte, toegankelijk voor de HELE buurt, waar allerlei culturele kleinschalige activiteiten plaatsvinden. Verbindend voor de buurt en hartverwarmend. Ik wil de gemeente vragen Tante Nino te helpen aan blijkbaar ontbrekende vergunningen. Dit soort initiatieven zijn altijd, en helemáál in deze tijd, een belangrijke toevoeging in onze wijk!!!

Vanwege mijn geestelijke en lichamelijke staat is dit nog het enige Rotterdamse podium dat ik met veel plezier wil en kan bezoeken. Dit te moeten missen zou ook het afscheid van mij betekenen. Houdt rekening met anderen, dat betekent ook die andere anderen!

Tante Nino is sinds jaar en dag een fenomeen op cultureel gebied. Wie is er bv niet geweest bij de Khachapuri Kino Club? En we hopen en verwachten dat dit nog jaren blijft bestaan. Naast de filmavonden heeft Tante Nino met de vele andere activiteiten laten zien dat het een uniek fenomeen is dat niet mag verdwijnen.

Tante Nino is not only a wonderful podium for both young and recognized artists but an essential cultural lung of Rotterdam, since, besides de Doelen and the Schouwburg, there are barely any venues of this kind to enjoy live chambre music and have such a proximity with the artists. It’s difficult to think of a venue with such a variety of cultural activities (cinema, photography, plastic arts, music) which, regarding the latter, offers a diverse musical panorama of the Dutch scene: classical and contemporary music, jazz, pop and world music. If Tante Nino dissapears, a substantial part of the Rotterdamse culture will also dissapear. Supporter #

Tante Nino organiseert al jaren prachtige concerten en vertoont bijzondere films, altijd voorzien van diepere achtergronden, context, en goeie discussies. Met enorm veel passie en liefde wordt dit gerund. Het is Cultuur met een hoofdletter C zonder pretenties of arrogantie maar met humor; iedereen voelt zich welkom, en het verbindt allerlei mensen van over de wereld met mensen uit de buurt in een soort familiesetting. Het zou echt heel spijtig zijn als dit verdwijnt. Zo’n instituutje krijg je niet snel terug. In Amsterdam (mijn woonplaats) heb ik nog niet zoiets unieks als dit kunnen vinden.

The activity of Tante Nino in Rotterdam is Essential!!! We need it to keep going! Tante Nino is a special safe space where artists from the whole world come to try out and experiment new ideas and performances. Here we can do that with no fear of taking risks, with no commercial pressures, with the certainty of being well received by a warm public and getting valuable meaningful feedback. The opportunity to perform in such conditions is rare and precious and this is why I love to perform and watch performances at Tante Nino. Nino is a daring person, deeply committed with the spirit of Rotterdam and very fast moving with the times. Her mission to keep on proposing surprising avant-garde artistic experiences is of immense value. This is a place where art and friendship meet to create a magical feeling of family. Supporter #

Tante Nino bestaat uit sympathieke, gedreven mensen met een heel groot hart voor verbinding en cultuur tussen mensen van allerlei leeftijd en achtergrond. Het plekje van Tante Nino in de Van der Takstraat is een pareltje in de wijk!
