The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance
Zondag 4 oktober - The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance speelt bij Tante Nino. Het trio bestaat uit het Massimiliano Dosoli (klarinetten), Piero Conte (gitaar) en Matteo Paggi (trombone). De muzikanten beschouwen 'Onwetendheid' als een prachtige en belangrijke waarde die altijd aanwezig is in hun levenskeuzes. Waarheid ligt op de magische plek tussen 'het bekende' en 'het onbekende' en alleen met zeer bewuste, dagelijkse beoefening en onbewuste, onwetende keuzes kan Waarheid worden gevonden, zo ook in de muziek.
Dosoli, Conte en Paggi laten zich inspireren door traditionele jazztaal (Ellington, Monk, Parker) maar ook door hedendaagse rock en elektronische muziek (Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Tom Waits). Het repertoire is een mix van eigen composities en covers van andere bands (Jim Black Alasnoaxis, Tinissima Quartet, etc).

Het concert begint om 17:00 uur. Tuin open vanaf 16:30 uur. Let op: ingang Van der Takstraat 94. Reserveren per email verplicht via tantenino@gmail.com, entree 15 euro (studenten 7,50) vooraf over te maken op bankrekening NL14ABNA 0420215948 ten name van Stichting Tante Nino o.v.v. The Unexpected. Desgewenst kan een Maaltijd (lopend buffet) à 15 euro pp na het concert gereserveerd worden, gaarne vooraf te betalen.

After the concert a meal is available (open buffet) for 15 euro. A reservation is necessary, an upfront payment as well.

The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance is the trio of Massimiliano Dosoli (clarinets), Matteo Paggi (trombone) and Piero Conte (guitar). They share a similar vision of music and friendship and consider “Ignorance” a wonderful and important value always present in their life choices. Truth lays in the magical place between “the known” and “the unknown” and only with very conscious, daily practice and unconscious, ignorant choices Truth can be found. Their music is inspired by traditional jazz language (Ellington, Monk, Parker) and contemporary rock and electronic music (Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Tom Waits). The repertoire is a mix of original compositions and covers of other band (Jim Black Alasnoaxis, Tinissima Quartet, etc).
