Varassi Pega–Agnese duo

The duo by Bárbara Varassi Pega (piano) and Gerardo Agnese (bandoneon) was formed as a way to explore tango music in an intimate setting. From a unique line-up featuring two main tango instruments, they perform masterpieces from the tango literature arranged by themselves as well as their own compositions. The duo was crafted from the ensemble Tango Tinto, with which they have extensively toured most European countries and Argentina for many years, and recorded several CD’s.

After the concert, there will be the screening of a short animation movie in collaboration with other artists. Gerardo Agnese will screen Surubí, featuring his own music recorded with the bandoneon and other instruments. A fantastic trip the artist describes as: "A journey from the enclosure. The mutations of life in the imagination of a river fish".
