A Creative Music Workshop for Children
Led by composers Saskia Venegas and Panos Gklistis, this unique workshop culminates in a performance by the participants, joined by members of Ensemble Oihua, featuring the music created during the sessions.
For children aged 9–14. No previous musical experience is required—curiosity and imagination are enough.
In The Sound Kitchen, participants broaden their musical toolkit and discover fresh approaches to composing music. Without the limits of formal training, children often create astonishing results—finding new forms, unexpected textures, and playful ways to turn sound into story.
Workshop Structure
– Introduction: Explore the basic principles of music by connecting sound and image.
– Creative Notation: Discover aleatoric music and express your ideas through graphic scores.
– Composition: Work together to turn a story into an original piece of music.
– Performance: Present the new composition in concert with members of Ensemble Oihua at Tante Nino.
Een Creatieve Muziekworkshop voor Kinderen
Onder leiding van componisten Saskia Venegas en Panos Gklistis eindigt deze bijzondere workshop met een optreden van de deelnemers, samen met leden van Ensemble Oihua, waarin de zelfgecomponeerde muziek live wordt uitgevoerd.
Voor kinderen van 9–14 jaar. Alle niveaus zijn welkom—nieuwsgierigheid en fantasie zijn voldoende.
In The Sound Kitchen verruimen deelnemers hun muzikale gereedschapskist en ontdekken ze nieuwe manieren om muziek te maken. Zonder vooroordelen of vaste regels ontstaan soms verrassende resultaten: onverwachte klanken, nieuwe vormen en speelse verbanden tussen geluid en verhaal.
Opbouw van de Workshop
– Introductie: Ontdek de basisprincipes van muziek door geluid aan beeld te koppelen.
– Creatieve Notatie: Leer over aleatorische muziek en zet je ideeën om in een grafische partituur.
– Compositie: Gebruik een verhaal als inspiratiebron en werk samen aan een originele compositie.
– Presentatie: Samen met leden van Ensemble Oihua brengen de kinderen hun compositie ten gehore bij Tante Nino.
