We are extremely proud to present a series of four film concerts by four outstanding pianists that focus on silent cinema. The first concert on October 27th is by Yvo Verschoor. He has been a long-time pianist for the Dutch Filmmuseum and is now running the most charming venue and piano museum Huis Midwoud where he programs silent cinema, classical music and jazz.   CINEMAGIC film concert The performance Cinemagic takes us on a tour through the prehistoric times of cinema. What do these first films look like, who are the people that made them, what are they about? Film fragments will testify of the early development of the moving image and other inventions from more than century ago. Skladanovsky, Lumière, hand-coloured fantasies of Méliès, comedies of Pathé and Gaumont, world famous Hollywood stars of the roaring twenties, all these gems are presented and accompanied live on grand piano.
