Ricciotti brengt een ode aan het platteland op het Noordereiland. (english below)
Deze zomer brengt het RICCIOTTI een ode aan het prachtige Nederlandse platteland en daar hoort, net als de dorpen Nistelrode, Hornhuizen, Workum en Luttelgeest, het dorp NOORDEREILAND bij! De verstedelijking rukt steeds meer op met als gevolg het sluiten van lokale muziekscholen, bibliotheken, buurtwinkels en openbaar vervoer dat steeds meer wegvalt. Deze verschraling wil het Ricciotti muzikaal onder de aandacht brengen. Met solist Lana Wolf bezingen we het platteland met bekende country liedjes, maar ook Nederlandstalige en zelfs Mexicaanse muziek. Componist Hugo Bouma schreef speciaal de compositie ‘Ik nam de metro om een koe te zien’. Ga je mee naar het platteland?
Over het Ricciotti ensemble
Het Ricciotti ensemble is een straatsymfonieorkest dat speelt voor mensen die om welke reden dan ook niet of nauwelijks met live symfonische muziek in aanraking komen. Sinds de oprichting in 1970 spelen we overal en voor iedereen: op straat, in het asielzoekerscentrum, in het vliegtuig of de gevangenis, en in het buitenland. Het ensemble bestaat uit 43 jonge enthousiaste professionele en amateurmusici die als vrijwilliger meespelen. Alle optredens zijn gratis toegankelijk. www.ricciotti.nl

Ricciotti pays tribute to the Noordereiland countryside.
This summer, the RICCIOTTI brings an ode to the beautiful Dutch countryside and that, like the villages of Nistelrode, Hornhuizen, Workum and Luttelgeest, includes the village of NOORDEREILAND! Urbanisation is encroaching more and more, resulting in the closure of local music schools, libraries, local shops and public transport increasingly disappearing. The Ricciotti wants to draw musical attention to this impoverishment. With soloist Lana Wolf, we sing of the countryside with well-known country songs, but also Dutch and even Mexican music. Composer Hugo Bouma specially wrote the composition 'I took the metro to see a cow'. Will you join us in the countryside?
About the Ricciotti ensemble
The Ricciotti ensemble is a street symphony orchestra that plays for people who, for whatever reason, have little or no exposure to live symphonic music. Since its founding in 1970, we have been playing everywhere and for everyone: on the streets, in asylum seekers' centres, on planes or in prisons, and abroad. The ensemble consists of 43 young enthusiastic professional and amateur musicians who play as volunteers. All performances are free of charge.
