Introducing the NJ Project, an extraordinary assembly of six exceptionally talented musicians whose journey began in the enchanting summer workshops of Nuoro Jazz, Sardinia, in 2023. Recognised individually as the "best participants of the 2023 edition," they were not only rewarded with the prestigious honour of performing at the Nuoro Jazz Festival 2024, but were also granted a valuable scholarship, enabling them to nurture their craft across the landscapes of the Netherlands and Italy. The first meeting of the NJ Project is held in Rotterdam in the beginning of November, and will have its premiere between the lovely and familiar walls of Tante Nino.
The line-up is all Italian, some of them already known in the “Rotterdamse” scene: Martina Ghibellini (vocals), Cosimo Gentili (saxophone), Simone Magioncalda (guitar), Nicola Guidolin (piano), Damiano Vitrano (double bass), Andrea Carta (drums).
