Saxophonist Lachy Hamilton presents Lach Stock: original music rooted in Black American Music traditions, “cooked Down Under and served hot, direct to your ears.”
For his third studio album, Hamilton composed new works shaped around the musical personalities and real-life characteristics of each band member, creating a layered sextet sound where Black American Music meets a range of European influences.

After relocating to Amsterdam in 2024, Hamilton quickly became active across the Dutch jazz scene, forming the ensemble featured on Lach Stock. Inspired by the strong connection within the front line, he began writing music that highlights both the group’s chemistry and the individuality of each player.
With the exception of Joe Henderson’s composition Jinrikisha, Lach Stock consists entirely of original music — a snapshot of Amsterdam’s vibrant cauldron of young creatives and improvisers.
The album was released in early 2026 exclusively on Bandcamp, with a full streaming release on June 11, 2026.

Voor dit derde studioalbum componeerde Hamilton nieuw werk vanuit de muzikale persoonlijkheden en onderlinge dynamiek van de bandleden. Het resultaat is een energieke en gelaagde sextetklank waarin Black American Music samenkomt met uiteenlopende Europese invloeden.

Sinds zijn verhuizing naar Amsterdam in 2024 bouwde Hamilton snel een sterke aanwezigheid op binnen de Nederlandse jazzscene. Vanuit de bijzondere chemie tussen de blazers ontstond muziek die zowel hun hechte samenspel als de individualiteit van iedere muzikant centraal stelt.
Op één compositie van Joe Henderson na — Jinrikisha — bestaat Lach Stock volledig uit origineel werk: een momentopname van Amsterdam als bruisende smeltkroes van jonge makers en improvisatoren.
Het album verscheen begin 2026 exclusief op Bandcamp en wordt op 11 juni 2026 wereldwijd uitgebracht op alle streamingplatforms.
